上海自然博物馆(上海科技馆分馆)自然史研究中心以馆藏标本为基础,以与高校、科研院所优势互补、资源互用、利益共享的合作方式,建设优势特色学科和相匹配的专业研究团队,创造优秀的创新性研究成果为上海自然博物馆的科普教育提供学术支撑。目前中心高级职称研究人员7名,有博士以上学历人员11名,其中正教授1名。
The Natural History Research Center of the SNHM (which is a branch of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum) is based around the Museum collections. By co-operating with institutions of higher education and scientific research institutes in such a way that one body’s strengths make up for another’s weaknesses and resources and benefits are shared, a well-matched specialist research team with its own distinctive strengths has been assembled. This team is producing outstanding new discoveries in support of the Museum’s mission to popularize science. Currently there are 7 Senior Researchers, and 11 members with doctorates, of whom one is a full professor.
自然史研究中心围绕地质史、生命起源与生物演化史以及生物多样性变化史三个自然史脉络,集中开展城市生态与生物多样性、地球“三极”(南极、北极和青藏高原)生物学、进化与比较生物学研究。目前中心设立进化与比较生物学研究室、地球“三极”生物学研究室、城市生态与生物多样性研究室三个专业研究室。
The research of the Center touches on 3 general areas, geological history, the origins and evolution of life, and the history of biodiversity. It focuses on the ecology and species diversity of the city, the biology of the “three poles” (the North Pole, the South Pole and the Qinghai Tibet Plateau), and evolutionary and comparative biology. It currently has labs for each of these three areas of interest.
自然史研究中心按照“绩效为先、突出重点、柔性流动和专兼结合”的原则,组建和运行一支专业结构合理、研究特色突出、行业影响显著的学科队伍。目前,自然史研究中心的主要研究方向如下:
The Natural History Research Center has assembled a scientific research team in which the specialisms are rationally combined, whose research skills are outstanding and whose influence in their profession is well-known. Their guiding philosophy is to put results first and foremost, concentrate on important points, operate flexibly and combine specialism with collaboration.
